The 2026 Kenya secondary schools’ sports association (KSSSA) term two ball games came to thrilling end at M-PESA foundation Academy, Thika with the crowing of new champions.
The week long championship showcased outstanding talent, discpline, teamwork and spotrmaniship in Football, basketball, Rugby 7s, volleyball, netball, hocky and racquet games.
The championship saw the birth of new champions in Volleyball, football and also netball girls. Volleyball boys saw the crowning of little known Chasamisi Boys senior school from Bungoma after dominating Chepsaita from Rift valley in thrilling final by 3-1.
After dominating the Kenyan girls volleyball for many years , Kwanzanze girls from Machakos were not lucky this year as the were defeated in the semi finals by Kesogon senior school from Trans Nzoia who later thrashed Soweto Academy from Nairobi in the finals to lift the national trophy.

Kakamega school are the new national champions in boys football category after beating st, Mary’s Yala . After the elimination of Butere Girls the former national champions, it was now a turn for a new queen in which St.Joseph Girls Kitale (JOGA) from trans nzoia county emerged victorious with narrow escape over Nyakach girls.
kinale girls from central region defended their 7’s rugby title after deafiting kimobo senior school from Mt. Elgon, Bungoma County,while boys category saw Butala boys senior from the same county outshining all the teams in the competition.
After the elimination of the long time reigning champions in netaball, in the Regional competitions Oyugi ogango girls senoir school, Andersen girls’ senior school are now new champions after hammering Bukokholo by 49-37 scores.

The winners now prepare to represent the country in FEASSSA games to be held in Morogoro Tanzania from the 12th -23rd of August 2026, together with the winners of term games which were held in Kisumu in April this year.
The gear now shifts to the preparation of next year’s term one games to be held in Mombasa and term two ball games to be held in Rift Valley in Nakuru City dates to be communicated later.
